Enrichment Programmes

The objective of the various sports activities organized by the PE Department is to encourage students to participate in at least two sports events per year.

The college’s mass participation sports activities are:
  • Annual Road Run (Term 1)
  • Sports Day / Sports Carnival (Term 3)
  • Inter-House Games (Term 4)

Annual Road Run
The Annual Road Run is a mass participation event open to all students. The route for the male students covers 4.5km while the route for the female students covers 3.2km. Prizes are awarded to the top 20 male and female students from each level. To encourage greater competition, the top 100 male and female students also earn points that will contribute to the inter-House championship. All other students are encouraged to either run or walk the respective routes.

Sports Day / Sports Carnival
The annual Sports Day/Sports Carnival is a half-day event organized for both JC1 and JC2 students. This inter-House event offers students the opportunity to take part in a variety of sports and games ranging from futsol and tug-of-war to handball and floorball. The respective Houses are encouraged to register as many teams as possible to encourage mass participation. The various sports and games CCA teams are tasked to organize and officiate the respective sports events for their fellow students.

This mass participation event offers students the chance to represent their respective Houses in both indoor (eg. Chess, Cuesports, DOTA) and outdoor (eg. Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, Floorball, Basketball) games. As with the Sports Day / Sports Carnival, the various sports and games CCA teams are tasked to organize and officiate the respective sports events for their fellow students.
