Project Agape

Project Agape, which began in 2007, is a joint collaboration between the National University Hospital (NUH) Blood Bank and the college to encourage blood donation among members of the community. Project Agape was the brain-child of compassionate students who initiated a blood donation drive in response to NUH’s call for blood supply to address a nation-wide blood shortage. Since then, it has become ingrained in the college culture that the blood donation drive is a significant and meaningful way of contributing back to society, imparting values such as empathy and compassion. Indeed, the good effort of the college was highlighted and even earned a special mention by the Health Minister. Since then, we have also partnered with Singapore Red Cross Society to run Project Agape together with the Interact Club. The overwhelming support from both staff and students is very encouraging, which truly epitomises the Pioneers’ compassionate spirit to help society.
