Math and Science Learning Journey to Tianjin and Beijing 2011

The 2011 Math and Science Learning Journey to Tianjin and Beijing had allowed our students to gather experiences and establish connections that would benefit them should they decide to study or work in China in the future. The visit to Chern Institute of Mathematics helped our students to better understand their entry requirements and gained insights on researches done on Mathematics.

During the second school visit, teachers and students from Chong Hua High School welcomed PJC students with warm hospitality. They took time to introduce the school, the school’s values and history as well as many places of interest in Tianjin to us. A highlight from this school visit would be the opportunity to attend a lesson on poetry together with the students from Chong Hua High School as most of us did not have the experience of attending poetry lessons in Chinese back in our Singapore schools.

Students were immersed in the rich culture of China on their visits to the Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, Great Wall of China, Underground Palace of Dingling Tomb, Silk Street and Temple of Heaven.
